Entertainers-Showcase.com is a brand new directory of entertainers and entertainment industry resources. The directory enables all entertainers and related businesses to publicise themselves. If you are a band, musician, singer, childrens entertainer, wedding entertainer, magician etc, list your act here. If you are searching for entertainers you are able to view the entries including photos, audio and video clips, and contact details for your chosen entertainer.
FREE pre-launch offer
Although the site is now live, we are not due to launch until January 2008. In the meantime, we will be pleased to accept directory entries from all entertainers. About the pre-launch offer
In our pre-launch offer, you may be eligible for a totally FREE Premier Plus or Premier entry. A Premier Plus entry includes up to five photographs (or images), up to three short audio clips and up to three short video clips.
As part of our pre-launch offer, the first three entries in each sub-category, eg Rock Bands, Jazz Bands etc, are totally free for a year (only one free entry per act or business). However, don’t worry if you miss the FREE entries because until 1st June 2007 – also as part of our pre-launch offer – all directory entries are being offered at half price.
Free entries are not guaranteed a top-5 or top 6-10 position. If you wish to guarantee a top-5 or top 6-10 position, then you need to pay the top-position surcharge, although the directory entry remains free.
Four levels of directory entry
Entertainer-Showcase.com has four levels of directory entry:
1. Premier Plus - our top level entry with audio and video.
2. Premier – our second level entry with audio.
3. Standard – our first level paid entry.
4. Free – our complimentary entry which is totally free of all charges.

Please note the following conditions of acceptance. Entries that do not comply with these conditions may be removed by the site editors.
1. No bad language, pornographic images or otherwise unacceptable material allowed
2. No links to sites containing unacceptable material allowed.
3. All directory entries must be entertainment-industry related, although entries from businesses that supply the entertainment industry will be accepted.
4. No links to sites that cause third-party pop–ups allowed.

As with most things in life, when hiring entertainers you get what you pay for. A well known experienced magician will obviously cost more than a young new comer. Don’t worry if your budget won’t stretch to hiring David Copperfield, there is plenty of new young talent available at a reasonable price. Try checking on a directory of entertainers for a suitable act.
Look Up Listings for Magicians in an Entertainers Directory
Once you’ve decided on the type of magician you require search through an entertainers directory for a list of available magicians within your area. The entertainers directory usually offers photos, video clips, and contact details of the magicians. This will help you draw up a short list of suitable entertainers.
Ask for a publicity pack.
Contact every magician in your short list and ask if they have a publicity pack they can send you. This will usually include brochures, photos, articles, references or testimonials etc. These details will help you choose which magicians would suit your event best.
Contact Previous Clients
Ask your chosen entertainer for names and numbers of previous clients and contact as many of these as possible and ask if they were satisfied with the performance etc.
Set up a Meeting with the Magician
Once you’ve decided on a magician, it is good practice to set up a personal meeting with him or her. Agree on guidelines length of performance etc. This will give you the opportunity to make a final assessment and let him know of your requirements in terms of program content. If he inquires about the type of guests, this implies that he is planning ahead for a successful performance.
